One thing I love is old dishes. I have many types of dishes that I collect. My favorite, as of late, has been the brown glassware.
You know how when someone knows you collect something, they keep their eyes open for you too. Well, look what my mom found at Goodwill for 50 cents!
My sister gave me this pitcher that she found at a yard sale. I love it! In fact, I use it every day. (I do have a thing with old pitchers too - but that is a whole other post.)
My friend's mom was going to sell these glasses at her garage sale. She told her mom that she knew someone that would love and appreciate them - and they gave them to me! Oh how I love them!
These glasses are more than just display items...we actually use them on occassion. I also use them to decorate with during the fall. Because they are so deep, I use them as flower vases. At other times, they are just fillers in my mantel tablescape.

I collect salt and pepper shakers. And you are right-when others know that fact, they look for you. I over over 250 pairs and most have been presents. Cool post. I might steal the idea. (Does it count that I collect bills and dust?)
