Wii

We got a Wii for Christmas and we are having a blast!!! We have spent hours bowling, playing tennis and boxing...things we have always enjoyed doing, but never did enough of!

I cannot tell you how many games we have already played! One of the many things that I love about it is that it's perfect for both the young and old. The little ones can compete in bowling tournaments right along side the adults. B and E have even beat a few adults (who will remain nameless..uncle jason).

It really is the perfect family gift..until we got one ourselves we really did not understand what the fuss was all about!

I am so glad we made the investment. The hours of fun, the friendly competition, the amount of laughter and the precious memories being made is SO worth it!

Imagination

Can you tell what S made with her playdough?

It is a nest with baby birds in it.

Can you see the little bird with its wings?

I love seeing their creative juices flowing!

Our Crazy Boy

I was quite curious what B was up too when I saw him sitting on the living room floor with plates in both hands and in between his toes.

Of course, I had to ask him what in the world he was doing?!!??

His reply, "I am sooo hot so I am fanning myself."

Well of course you are!!!??! Duh!

I begged him to stay put so I could go get my camera. I want to remember these silly things because you just can't make this stuff up!

Christmas Tree Cake

My 9 year old daughter, E, made this Christmas Tree cake for our church Christmas Dinner.

She baked and decorated it ALL by herself.

Great job, E...You did a fantastic job!

Bath Tub Turned Swimming Pool

B had been taking a bath when suddenly he appeared like this in the hallway saying he was ready to get out.

When I asked about the goggles, he said he needed them so he could see under the bubbles!

Who says that goggles are just for the swimming pool???
Oh, and from the looks of the bathroom, he had a great time! Isn't that what really matters!?!

Christmas Festival

Our local park held its annual Old Fashioned Christmas Festival today. What a wonderful, relaxing Sunday afternoon spent enjoying simple Christmas activities without all the commercialization that is normally bombarding us at this time of year.

We had a great time making simple Christmas ornaments.

Singing Christmas songs on the wagon ride.

S and B even got to ride in the front with the driver.

Taking a nature walk....

and enjoying the beauty of a sunset.

Build-a-Bear

We couldn't go to Atlanta without doing a little Christmas shopping. We went to a fantastic mall that had the Build-a Bear workshop. The kids wanted to use some of their Christmas money from Mammaw and Pappaw to buy their very own, made-by-themselves bears.

As the kids were deciding which bear to pick, I showed M this one.

She said "I don't want that one, it's not right." We busted up laughing. Being 2 years old, she didn't quite understand it was suppose to be flat because they were going to stuff it!

First off, they grabbed a heart for their bear.

Then they did all kinds of things before placing it in the bear. This one is when they were rubbing it on their knee's so their bear would always need them.

Then they kissed it...

and made a wish....

and finally placed the heart inside...

and began stuffing them..

B was such a big brother helping M push the pedal to fill "Rosebud" up with stuffing.

Of course, all new bears have to have a first bath.

It was such a fun experience. They LOVE their new friends...it is amazing how much happiness can come from something so little as building a bear.

Operation Christmas Child

A group from our church went to Atlanta to be volunteers at Operation Christmas Child. We have participated in OCC for many years, but this was our first year to be volunteers. It was an amazing experience!!

I was not able to bring my camera in because it couldn't fit in my pocket, but my friend had hers. As soon as I get a copy of her pictures, I will post about our experience. Everything is better with pictures!

If you want to learn more about OCC, visit their website here.

Sweet Pea

M said to me, "I love you, Sweet Pea!" as she gave me a big hug and kiss.

I told her that she is MY sweet pea, she said, "No, you call me sweetie, I call you sweet pea!"

Talk about melting a momma's heart!

Sunglasses

There is just something about a toddler in sunglasses that is just so cute.

M likes to wear hers like this.

I wonder where she gets that from?

Their Very Own Tree

The kids LOVE having their very own Christmas trees in their rooms.

Scot helping S and B put together their tree.

E and M's tree

S and B's tree

They love decorating it all by themselves...and doing it the way they want.

S showing M how to hang ornaments the right way!

Each tree is adorned with special ornaments they have made or received from friends.

It is such a simple thing, but full of fun, laughter, and special memories!
