In our Bible time today, we talked about the devil tempting Jesus in the wilderness.
During math time, as S and B were doing their seatwork at the dining room table, I walked out of the room to help E with her math. When I came back a few minutes later, S was not in her seat.
I asked her why she was not at the table getting her school work done. She matter-of-factly said, "I guess I was tempted by the devil to go get something to drink."

Oh dear! I'm surprised my homeschooling child hasn't used that excuse yet. His "escapdes" are a little more serious though. He took his school scissors and made 14+ notches in the front of my dresser once. Needless to say, he wasn't allowed to use them for awhile.
It sounds like she at least listened well and remembered her Bible lesson! Cute Story!
I got a good laugh out of that application to your Bible lesson. Kids sure are quick, aren't they?
Yes, they are Karis!
