The kids also entered the Recipe Contest this year and they each won 2 ribbons! I will be posting the recipes and more pics on my recipe blog soon. I will be sure and post on this blog a link to that blog post as soon as I am done.
That boy is SO silly! I decided I would post this pic just to show how hard it can be sometimes to get a good picture of him :)
Showing their ribbons after the award ceremony!
I think each of you did a GREAT job and you know I am SO proud of you!
It is that time of year again. The kids entered the pumpkin decorating contest at our local fair. Can I tell you just how much they love doing this each year?
E decided to do a car race.
B also went with a race car theme.
Scot even got in on the action. Here is his painted pumpkin.
While out picking cotton, there were different stages of the cotton plant within the same field. I took pictures of each stage to show you who are not familiar with it. It was such a good learning experience for the kids!
B loves T-Roy. He had the best time dogsitting him for several days. They spent many hours outside playing together. This particular day, B had been throwing the ball to T-Roy at dusk. They could barely see but that didn't matter to a boy with his borrowed dog.
Over the weekend we got almost all of the little cousins together at a local park to get their pictures taken together. Lots of fun memories were made during the 2 hours at the park! Memories like this one captured on film, and more importantly, memories forever etched in the hearts of all who came!
There is nothing like spending time with family! I am so fortunate to have a close knit family who (mostly) all live in the same area and can get together often! I love that my kids get to grow up with all their cousins!
We are dog sitting for a few days. The kids are absolutely loving it! They want a dog so bad. When we move to the new house, we have promised that they can get one.
I hope we are able to find one as good as T-Roy! He is a great, kid friendly, playful-without-being-annoying dog!
Yesterday I showed you some of B's artwork, so today, I thought I would show you what M's artwork.
She loves to use scissors and glue - what child doesn't huh? - so I try to let her cut and paste as much as possible. If there are pages that she is suppose to color, I try to also let her cut and paste it to a sheet of construction paper. It gives her a little extra something fun to do while the others are still schooling.
We have also started a notebook of all her art projects. It is a great way to keep all the projects organized and it will be fun to look back and see how much these skills have improved over the school year.
I just thought I would share a sneak peak of B's 7 yr old pictures I took the other day. His birthday is Sunday and I will share the rest with you then.
What a comfort to know that MY Saviour leads me, carries me me close to His heart, and gives me grace through each trial! I hope this is song will remind you of the love God has for you!
All the way my Savior leads me Who have I to ask beside How could I doubt His tender mercy Who through life has been my guide
All the way my Savior leads me Cheers each winding path I tread Gives me grace for every trial Feeds me with the living Bread
You lead me and keep me from falling You carry me close to Your heart And surely Your goodness and mercy will follow me
All the way my Savior leads me O, the fullness of His love O, the sureness of His promise In the triumph of His blood And when my spirit clothed immortal Wings its flight to realms of day This my song through endless ages Jesus led me all the way Jesus led me all the way
You lead me and keep me from falling You carry me close to Your heart and surely Your goodness and mercy will follow me
All the way my Savior leads me All the way my Savior leads me.
I am a wife to an amazing husband and a homeschooling mom to four incredible children.
The moments of life are slipping away so fast...I just want to stop and live fully in each moment. I want to remember all of the little things in our day to day life, because I know that all too soon these days will be gone.
These are our days, our moments, our memories.
