E's Chandelier

E has wanted a chandelier in her room for a long time. We have kept our eye out for one at garage sales, antique stores, and even the local good will, We have not been able to find one that she likes or that was in our price range until now!

E found this beauty in a junk store for $5.00. Isn't it lovely? We both love the glass center!

Of course, it needs to be rewired, but that is easy to do. We are also going to spray paint it and add some crystals. Soon she will have the beautiful chandelier that she has dreamed of!

B's 6 Year Pictures

B 's birthday was Saturday, so we went to the local Botanical Gardens today to take his 6 year old pictures. He did a fantastic job...and he is such a cutie!

They all turned out great which makes it hard to pick my favorite....I think I have decided that this first one is my favorite!

What a cutie!

So which one is your favorite?

The Purse

This is E with our cousin Cara.

Cara gave E a purse, but not just any purse, an Alabama purse!

Isn't it adorable? E is a huge Alabama fan so it was the perfect gift! She LOVES it!

Thanks, Cara!

Harvest Day

Our small town celebrates Harvest Day the second Saturday of October. Every year, our whole family comes and spends the day together!

We walk to the square and check out festivities. We walk around to the different booths, see friends that we don't see often enough, and enjoy the day as a family! I didn't get a picture of everyone, but here are a few favorites from the day!

S with my niece LB sharing a snow cone.

My cousin Philip and his beautiful wife Cara

My nephew W with his new pop gun.
B riding on my cousin Billy's shoulder. They were heading over to get a funnel cake..yummy!

Nana and S

M riding on daddy's shoulder

B with his wooden fishing pole - a birthday gift from Philip and Cara.

My sister Julie and her husband Jason.

Today is also game day! We are a Alabama Crimson Tide family...well, except for Jason (who you see above in the Auburn shirt). I really think he just likes to be the odd ball though, so does that really count?

Philip, Cara and E

Anyway, we all crowded in the living room and watched Bama roll over Ole Miss. It was a fun day!

The little cousins had a great time playing in the backyard together! They played so well together. It makes me happy to see a whole new generation of cousins that love being together as much as us older cousins do!

Happy 6th Birthday!

Today my sweet little man turns 6!

One of the things he loves to play is Lego's so we decided to make this our theme. It was a theme to do and easy too! Last night we had family Lego night and everyone made something to be used as the centerpieces for the tables. It was a great way to get everyone involved in the party.

Scot made this for the top of the cake.

For the side of the cake, he made a block with his name inset in it. It was too cool!

Of course, we had to take the traditional 5:30 picture...the exact time he was born!

Happy Birthday, B! I am so thankful that God blessed our family with you, our sweet little man!

We got Rolled!

When I was going to bed around 1:30, I noticed lovely white toilet paper hanging from the Magnolia Tree. I got a closer look and saw they got Scot's truck too!

Roll of TP in the tree

We got a good laugh and couldn't wait for the kids to see it when they woke up. Well, around 2:30, I was awaken by the sound of strong winds blowing pecans against the house and windows. Then the storm came. As you can imagine, the wind really did a number on the TP! I hate I did not get any pics of it before the storm!

When we checked it out in the morning, you can only imagine what the yard looked like...giant spit balls everywhere..hahha.

Don't worry sweet cousins, payback will come soon!

Pillows

I was excited to find these pillow inserts at a garage sale on Saturday. They were just a dollar each!

They are perfect for E to use to make pillows for her bed. Remember her cute fabric I showed you? Can't wait to help her get these done for her bed!
