Operation Christmas Child

A group from our church went to Atlanta to be volunteers at Operation Christmas Child. We have participated in OCC for many years, but this was our first year to be volunteers. It was an amazing experience!!

I was not able to bring my camera in because it couldn't fit in my pocket, but my friend had hers. As soon as I get a copy of her pictures, I will post about our experience. Everything is better with pictures!

Sweet Pea

M said to me, "I love you, Sweet Pea!" as she gave me a big hug and kiss.

I told her that she is MY sweet pea, she said, "No, you call me sweetie, I call you sweet pea!"

Talk about melting a momma's heart!

Each tree is adorned with special ornaments they have made or received from friends.

It is such a simple thing, but full of fun, laughter, and special memories!

Honesty

I was checking over the language page that S did today. Look how she answered this question.

When I asked her about it and she said "but Mom the best part of school IS a day off."

As a homeschool teacher, I totally agree. I enjoyed my Thanksgiving break and today was hard getting back into the routine of school!

She may not have answered the question correctly, but at least, she was honest with what she thought the question meant!
